The Benefits of Chemical Etching
The Benefits
Chemical etching is often faster, more cost-effective, and more risk-free than stamping.
Precision Photo-Fab's tooling costs can be up to 99% less than other poplular fabrication methods!
In addition, our in-house design and engineering staff is glad to answer your questions or solve your
problems. Precision Photo-Fab is a leader with inhouse design and tooling capabilities!
Your Time is Money!
Prototypes can be made in 2-5 days. Preproduction parts
can take as little as 7-10 days. Three weeks is typically allowed for production quantities. Some parts can be delivered overnight.
Plus, we can produce any quantity, whether it's one part or one million!
Chemical Etching is Flexible!
Photochemical etching, or chemical milling, is unique in that the process does not change
the internal structure or properties of the materials. The grain structure, hardness, and ductility of the original material are not affected.
Ferrous and nonferrous metals and
alloys respond well to this technology. The etching process allows for close tolerances, no work tempering, and stress-free, burr-free parts.
Utilizing Precision Photo-Fab will offer you the following benefits:
- Inexpensive tooling, with short lead-times (CAD generated photo-tooling)
- Quick delivery
- Prototypes in as little as 2-5 days
- Pre-production quantities in as little as 7-10 days
- Production quantities in as little as 10-14 days
- Close tolerances
- Burr-free parts
- Stress-free parts
- No work tempering
